JUNE NEWSLETTER
June 3, Saturday Field Trip to Heike and Kevin Quinn's Small Yard GardeningHeike and Kevin's small yard was full of ideas for growing a huge amount of food. She grows her starts in the basement under grow lights and covered grow trays.
Heiki and Kevin's garden boxes were hooped to be covered so she can harden-off tender, new plants. Sidewalks and paths led to all areas of the garden. Little stream beds, full of rocks made places for water to run. The landscape is well-thought through and adds function and beauty to their garden. Heiki and Kevin hasve taken great care in choosing a wide variety of plants for eating, herbs, and flowers. |

When? Saturday, June 10 starting at 10 am, we will gather to plant 1+ acre of potatoes. We encourage you to come and invite others to join you. We need help with cutting the potatoes into seeds which will then be place in a potato planter to help us plant.
