OUR DRAGONFY MONTESSORI FAMILY
The whole family is into animal husbandry. They have raised goats, chickens, milk cows, and horses.
Joshua is a "Horse Whisperer" horse trainer. He
is a hobby blacksmith and bladesmith. He makes beautiful knives and tools. To teach map reading orienteering, Captain Jack helped the children read the Pirate Map to find the Treasure.
Joshua Olsen is hard-working and creative. He served a mission in Sao Paulo, Brazil for two years and speaks Portuguese, Spanish, and English. He plays guitar, piano, and vessel flutes.
Josh has worked in sales, such as placing physicians in underserved areas. In finish carpentry Joshua has worked on some of the most beautiful homes in Utah. He crafted the beautiful Montessori shelves at Dragonfly Montessori. Joshua has his contractor's B-100 license. Joshua received his Montessori Training and certification from Starry Garden Montessori School in Heber City, Utah and worked there for several years. He has a great gift of working respectfully with children. He cheerfully helps them build confidence in their ability to learn, create and have high standards as their choice for their own work. |
The Olsen Family takes care of one another. They love to take good care of others.
Josh and Tiffany have been married for eleven years. They cherish their two boys and love family time doing many creative and innovative things. 
Josh toured Washington DC, California and China with Utah Valley University Chamber Choir. At UVU, he started the Acapella Group "Voiceline".

Tiffany has worked in various management and administrative roles including for loan servicing companies and financial advisory firms. She was also licensed as a loan officer in Nevada. She most recently worked placing physicians in underserved and short-staffed facilities across the country.
Tiffany pays viola, piano, and drums. She is an excellent teacher to show children how can have early success in learning a new instrument.
Tiffany was blessed with two boys Cedric and Ezran. Cedric was very busy and loved to learn. When he was three years old, Tiffany put him in Montessori and became a Montessori Mom. Cedric thrived! Tiffany did many things to enhance his learning. When Cedric was 6, Tiffany confidently taught him in home school. Now, at age 9, Cedric reads at a surprisingly high level.
Their second son, Ezran, was born with Autism. His loving parents didn't change their philosophy of learning. They cuddled him, interacted with him every waking moment, and did interesting things with him all day. Now, Ezran just turned two, thanks to his loving family, runs, cuddles, smiles, and even teases. Though still non-verbal, Tiffany continues to learn more to help Ezran learn more. |
If there is a child or animal in need, Tiffany will be right there with a plan and with her hands bringing what is most needed.
Tiffany has a beautiful voice but was surprised when she won first prize in her very first contest!

As all children learn with a Montessori education, Cedric learned how to teach younger children as modeled by Montessori teachers. He is always patient but firm. Though je has his own curriculum to complete, you will often find him teaching children.

Cedric and Ezran
Cedric is a wonderful big brother for Ezran! He is so patient and helpful! Ezran keeps Cedric busy and laughing. 
Ezran will learn Montessori methods and will learn alongside the other children. He is very happy when other children are present.
